WATERDOG BOARDING Our boarding is a little different. You may be used to other boarding kennels or veterinary offices where your dog is in a kennel run or cage for most of it's stay. Or where you pay a lot of extra money for a half hour walk per day or for someone to sit and play with your dog for five minutes once a day.
Here at WaterDog Kennels, dogs do each have their own kennel run or crate, but they spend about four to six hours a day outside of it playing with us and other dogs. Then, INCLUDED IN YOUR BOARDING FEE, we train your dog while it stays with us (regardless of it's age, breed, size and prior training). This generally includes simple manners, some basic obedience and socialization. Finally, your dog(s) get a bath before they go home. Feel free to set up a visit and see what it's all about before you decide whether you want to board your dog with us.... We board dogs of all sizes and ages. Dogs can also be boarded and trained daily at our facility. When you go on vacation, take a business trip or have a very busy week, leave your dog with us to start or continue its training! Our general boarding automatically includes basic training. ALL dogs at our facilities are IN TRAINING, regardless of their current training ability, breed or age. Because we let the dogs out 4-6 hours a day to play and train, they end up getting trained anyway (i.e., we have to walk them back to the kennels, control their jumping or barking, socialize them with other dogs, etc.). You'll be pleasantly surprised at the little changes in your dog when you return home. 7 days or less: $20 per day for outside runs, $22 inside* Over 7 days: $18.50 per day for outside runs, $20.50 inside* *Dogs staying in the house are crated, preferably in their own crate. We generally require dogs under six months of age or that are small breed dogs to stay inside at night. If you do not own a crate, you can rent one for $2 per day. If you bring a crate that requires assembly, you must assemble your own crate at the time you drop your dog off. Holiday period rates are regular rates plus an additional $2 per day. To reserve holiday boarding space, we require a deposit equal to the boarding rate for the minimum stay for the given holiday. (three day minimum stay & deposit) We will be closed for Thanksviging, Wednesday Nov 24 (after
10am) - Friday Nov 26 (before 5pm) Christmas
(four day minimum stay & deposit) We will be closed for Christmas, Friday Dec 24th
(after 10am) - Sunday** Dec 26th (before 5pm) New Years
(three day minimum stay & deposit) We will be closed for New Years, Friday Dec 31st (after 10am)
